Errol Ambler-Smith is the Chief Executive Officer of ATC Nigeria. Mr. Ambler-Smith joined American Tower Corporation in 2016 to support the planned launch of its operations in Tanzania and was reassigned to ATC Nigeria in 2017 as Head of Energy, Engineering and Capital Projects. In April 2018, he was appointed Chief Executive Officer of ATC Nigeria, American Tower’s largest operation in Africa.

Mr. Ambler-Smith has over 15 years senior and executive management experience in the ICT sector. Prior to joining American Tower, Mr. Ambler-Smith spent 15 years working in various capacities for Dimension Data Group throughout Africa.

Mr. Ambler-Smith is actively involved in the U.S.-Nigeria Commercial and Investment Dialogue (CID), an initiative of the U.S. Department of Commerce and Nigeria’s Ministry of Industry Trade and Investment to promote more trade and investment between Nigeria and the U.S.. American Tower serves as co-sector lead for the Digital Economy sector in the CID.

Mr. Ambler-Smith holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Port Elizabeth, South Africa and completed his articles with Deloitte.
