Gabisile Mashigo is a highly experienced banker with more than 20 years in the financial sector, spanning across Global Markets and Corporate and Investment Banking. Her executive responsibilities include client coverage and lending execution, with a strong focus on delivering strategic financial solutions across complex sectors.

She brings deep expertise in the mining sector, developed during the early part of her career as a metallurgical engineer working on mining operations across Africa and internationally. This technical foundation gives her a unique perspective on the sector and informs her approach to financial structuring and client engagement.
In her current role, Gabisile is responsible for driving sustainable growth in the Mining and Oil & Gas sectors. She works closely with clients to support their long-term growth ambitions while contributing to the broader development of Africa’s economies. Her previous roles include physical commodity trading, trade finance, and working capital solutions that enable trade across Africa’s key corridors with both Western and Eastern markets.

Gabisile holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Cape Town. She has also completed the Executive Management Development Programme through the Gordon Institute of Business Science in South Africa and the Rotterdam School of Management at Erasmus University in the Netherlands.
