AJ Barkley is head of Global Community Opportunity for Bank of America, leading the company’s global philanthropic strategy to expand economic opportunity.

Her portfolio spans workforce development, partnerships with Community Development Financial Institutions and Minority Depository Institutions, and signature programs including Neighborhood Builders®, Student Leaders® and the Bank of America Driving Impact webinar series.

Barkley chairs the bank’s National Community Advisory Council, bringing together leaders to provide external perspective on the company’s policies and practices. She is a member of the Executive Leadership Council and serves on the Howard University School of Business Board of Visitors and the National Urban League Board of Trustees.
